Our calendar has been so full as of late. With raising Callan, enjoying the season, prepping our home for a wedding and everything in between it has been a bit chaotic to say the least. Sleep has not been abundant lately and I feel as if I am taking 2 steps forward and 5 steps back with a to-do list that never ends. Buuuut with all that being said, I am feeling extremely grateful for such a full plate and the ability to do all that we are given. Thats the thing, shifting my perspective to "I get to do these things" vs. "I have so much to do and I cant catch up" really keeps me grounded in the fact that my never ending to-do list is full of beautiful things that I get to do. Things I used to pray for, projects people want me to handle.. it is all truly a blessing even through these long tired days.
So in order for me to still function through this chaos, I must embrace it and take it on for what it is. Therefor I continue each day to celebrate and live.. starting with these cookies! I have now made this recipe 2 times in the past week!
Coconut Chocolate Chip Cookies
You can find this recipe here. They make about 24 cookies - a perfect amount to take half the batch to your neighbors!
We have been working so hard on our backyard to prepare for the wedding we are hosting next month...
We poured concrete pavers for a fun patio and while the concrete was wet we decided to freeze this moment in time with Callan's feet!
Our wine down weekend looked a little different this year with our newest little addition in tow.
We ran off to our favorite local wineries to enjoy some wine and wind down summer. Read about our annual "wine down weekend" tradition here!
The evenings have been cooling off and we have been enjoying all the moments we can out by the pool before we close it.
Over labor day we took advantage of the sales and purchased a solo stove.
Honey Crisp apples are in season!
We finished off the week with a trip to Lynds Fruit Farm right down the road from us to pick some apples! I love all these sweet traditions we have started this year and I am excited to see how it evolves over the years!
